Avoiding agentic mess with Data Products and Knowledge Graphs

An ecosystem of intelligent agents—human and non-human—is a complex system where success relies not just on the intelligence of individual agents but on their ability to collaborate effectively. This collaboration depends on balancing autonomy with a shared language and a common understanding of context, enabling agents to communicate and coordinate without confusion or inefficiency.
For this reason, intelligent agents must have access to a shared information architecture, using it as a foundation for seamless communication and coordination.
In this talk, we’ll explore:
  • How to represent the shared information architecture through an enterprise knowledge graph (EKG)
  • How to implement an EKG, one data product at a time, following the principles of data mesh applied to knowledge management (i.e., knowledge mesh).
  • How to use an EKG to set up a well-organized ecosystem of agents—avoiding the pitfalls of creating a big agentic mess.
